Florina Tincu, a 15-year-old Roma high school student lives in Ferentari, a dangerous and poor neighborhood in Bucharest, Romania. Her parents are unemployed, but Florina excels in school and will begin high school this year. Many Roma struggle with school, if they attend at all, so this is a major accomplishment for Florina and she hopes to become a lawyer and work with Roma to help overcome prejudice and protect their civil rights.
